Yoav Galand sent a message to Iran at noon on Wednesday.

Speaking to pilots and aircrew at Hajerim Air Base, the defense minister said that “after we strike Iran, everyone will understand what you did in the preparation and training process.”

“All those who dreamed a year ago of hitting and attacking us paid a heavy price and are no longer in that dream,” he said.

Israel has vowed to respond to Iran’s October 1 ballistic missile attack. The leak of documents noted in the US about the attack does not seem capable of delaying the attack, which depends on strategic and political criteria.

One person in the occupied West Bank was killed, and two in Israel were injured during the Iranian raids, which were mostly intercepted by IDF air defenses. Tehran launched the attack after Israel killed Hassan Nasrallah, who had led Hezbollah for more than three decades, in a series of strikes on the group’s underground headquarters in Dahiya, a southern suburb of Beirut.

As of 3:00 p.m., approximately 85 missiles fired by the terrorist organization Hezbollah passed from Lebanon into Israel today (Wednesday, October 23), the IDF announced.

“The IDF will continue to defend the State of Israel and its people against the threat posed by the terrorist organization Hezbollah,” the military said.

Earlier today, US Secretary of State Anthony Blinken reiterated to the media that Israel must be careful to react in a way that does not further escalate tension in the region.
