The airstrike carried out on Saturday against military targets in Iran was “accurate and powerful” and “achieved all targets”, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said.
“The attack was precise and powerful, it achieved all its objectives,” the Israeli prime minister announced in the first public statement on Israeli raidsduring a ceremony for the first Jewish anniversary of the Hamas attack on southern Israel on October 7, 2023.
“Iran attacked Israel with hundreds of ballistic missiles and that attack failed,” he said, referring to the Oct. 1 Iranian attack in which most of the Iranian missiles were intercepted by Israeli missile defenses.
“Then we promised that we would react strongly and in the early hours of Saturday we kept our promise. The air force attacked Iran and damaged Iran’s ability to defend itself and build missiles aimed at us.”
