Footage of the moment the Israeli army tracked down and captured the commander of its forces Hezbollah, Hasan Aqil Jawad inside a tunnel at the Shiite organization’s command center, the IDF said.

In particular, the commander of the Hezbollah forces was arrested by the troops of the Golani Brigade about two weeks ago. According to the military, troops located a tunnel where several agents were hiding. Among them was the commander of Hezbollah forces in the Ayta ash-Shab region.

The members were handed over to the troops, arrested and interrogated by Unit 504 of the Intelligence Directorate.

The army releases footage showing Jawad and other soldiers surrendering.

The IDF says the attackers were later transferred to Israel for further questioning.

“During the interrogation of the terrorists, they described many infrastructures for terrorist attacks located in the Ayta ash-Shab area. These findings helped forces on the ground identify and destroy terrorist infrastructure in a targeted manner and prepare for threats in the region,” the IDF said.

The military adds that several more Hezbollah operatives have been arrested and interrogated during operations in southern Lebanon in recent weeks.
