A case of homicide is being investigated by the Cyprus Police, regarding him death of an infant, two and a half months old, in Limassol. Authorities, which are already investigating, proceeded to arrest of both parents of the child, aged 37 and 22 years.
In the early hours of March 5, 2022, the little girl was transported by her parents to the Limassol General Hospital, having convulsions. From there he was taken to Makareio Hospital in Nicosia, where at around 7.15 in the morning of the same day he was pronounced dead.
The autopsy revealed that his death was due to a severe craniocerebral injury, while fractures of the right key and left side were also found in the baby’s body, as well as subdural hematoma of the spinal cord. From their findings, the medical examiners Angeliki Papetta and Orthodoxos orthodoxos ruled out the possibility that the infant’s injuries were caused by an accident at home.
According to a relevant announcement of the Police, after this development, arrest warrants were issued against the parents of the baby, aged 37 and 22, under which they were arrested and detained, to facilitate the investigations.
