Tensions flared during negotiations between Audi Brussels management and unions over a plan for compensation for 3,000 workers after the plant closes in February 2025.

It was previously reported that there has been no buyer for all or part of the Audi plant in Brussels and therefore the unions and the management of the company continued negotiations regarding the social plan concerning the workers who will be laid off. At the time of the discussions, workers broke into the negotiation room to protest the proposals that they said did not satisfy them. Management called the police to enforce order. One of the workers was injured.
