The snowstorm hitting France today caused significant delays at Paris-Charles-de-Gaulle airport, where authorities asked airlines to cancel 10% of their flights, Agence France-Presse reported, citing converging sources.

Due to a “heavier than predicted” snowfall event, the ADP Group groups (Aéroports de Paris) “mobilized to removal of snow masses from the runways and the de-icing of aircraft in order to guarantee the safety of flights and passengers, which is delaying operations,” a spokeswoman for the airport’s management company told AFP.

In a message on its X account, DGAC spoke of traffic “disrupted at arrivals and departures” at Charles de Gaulle and warned that “delays and cancellations are expected”, urging travelers to contact their company in order to verify their flight status.
