Manuel Tamayo-Torres arrested after video posted online threatening to kill US president-elect
Manuel Tamayo-Torres was arrested Monday in California after posting a video online in which he threatened to kill US President-elect Donald Trump and members of his family, US media reported today.
Citing court documents, ABC 7 TV reported that the suspect posted several videos in recent months on Facebook, including one in which he is seen holding an AR-15-style rifle with a 30-round magazine.
The court documents do not name Donald Trump, who is referred to as “Individual 1,” a term often used in such documents to refer to a public figure.
Last Thursday, according to an ABC 7 report, Tamayo-Torres says in a video posted to Facebook: (Person 1) you’re going to die. (Person 1), your son will die. Your whole family will die, (Person 1). This is the reality for you. This is the only reality you will know in the future, (Person 1), death.”
Among other things, Tamayo-Torres claims in a video that “Person 1” kidnapped and forced his children into prostitution, ABC 7 reports.
One of the controversial videos was posted on August 23 from the Desert Diamond Arena in Arizona, where Donald Trump had appeared at a campaign rally at the time.
