The US president-elect Donald Trump called today, through his platform, Truth Social, to “immediate ceasefire” and negotiations to end the conflict in Ukraine.

“There should be an immediate ceasefire and negotiations should begin. Too many lives were lost in vain, too many families were destroyed, and if this continues, it could turn into something bigger and much worse,” he wrote, arguing that Ukraine had “ridiculously” lost 400,000 soldiers and “many more civilians.”

In his message, Donald Trump, who will take office on January 20, also assured that the Ukrainian president Volodymyr Zelensky “would like to make a deal” to end the war.

“Zelensky and Ukraine would like to make an agreement and put an end to the madness,” he wrote after his meeting yesterday, Saturday, in Paris with the Ukrainian president.

“I know Vladimir well. It is time to act. China can help. The world is waiting!” Trump concluded.
