THE mayor of Moscow Sergei Sobyanin announced the abolition of the use of the mask, which had been imposed for a long time in public places, citing the improvement of the epidemiological situation with Covid-19 and the need to support the business that is facing the pressure of sanctions.
“THE gradual improvement of epidemiological situation “It allows us to make a long-awaited decision,” Sobyanin wrote on his personal website. “From Tuesday, March 15, we lift the restrictions on the use of the protective mask.”
Sobyanin said companies would no longer take measures against the coronavirus, such as measuring workers’ temperatures and keeping distances.
“At this juncture, this decision will support business activity that is under severe pressure due to sanctions,” he wrote.
Unprecedented Western sanctions against Moscow in connection with the events in Ukraine have forced many companies to restrict their activities in Russia, increasing uncertainty about business in the country.
