While talks between Russia and Ukraine do not move towards an effective peace negotiation, the war continues to kill Ukrainian civilians and forcing millions of people to flee their homes in various parts of the country.
A frequent target of Russian bombing has been the town of Irpin, on the outskirts of the capital Kiev. It was there that the American journalist Brent Renaud ended up dead on Sunday (13), in conditions that have not yet been fully clarified.
This Monday (14), Russia suggested that it could militarily occupy the main population centers of Ukraine, in addition to maintaining the intense rhythm of attacks on important cities.
This Tuesday’s Breakfast (15) goes to Kiev with reporter André Liohn, who reports the tense routine in the region, living with bombings and trying to protect himself from attacks.
