Thanakarn Kanthee decided to drink 350ml single malt whiskey to win €840 in a challenge but failed
A 21-year-old influencer from Thailand met a tragic death when he drank a bottle of whiskey in one gulp as part of a birthday party challenge.
Thanakarn Kanthee, from the capital city of Bangkok, made the decision to drink 350ml of single malt whiskey in order to win €840.
The 21-year-old with the nickname “Bank Leicester”, is known for his participation in challenges in order to earn money for his family.
The police are investigating online content creators connected to Thanakarn “Bank Leicester” Kanthee, who died after consuming an entire 350ml bottle of alcohol in one sitting.

Video taken from the party in the city of Chanthaburi shows people laughing and cheering him on to keep drinking. Just minutes before he drank the alcohol, Thanakarn started feeling sick and vomiting. Then he collapsed to the floor.
He was rushed to hospital, but doctors were unable to revive him and pronounced him dead.
Thanakarn lived with his grandmother since he was just two months old. He has been selling garlands at a flea market since he was 7 years old to support himself and his grandmother.

According to the Bangkok Post, he is seen in several videos accepting paid challenges to drink alcohol.
A Facebook page showed some bystanders laughing as paramedics carried Thanakarn on a stretcher to the ambulance.
Police arrested two influencers related to his death.
