In favor of closed borders and “large-scale forced repatriations” of migrants, in favor of the return of nuclear energy, the reopening of the Nord Stream 2 pipeline and against wind farms, the leader of the Alternative for Germany (AfD) Alice Weidel stood in the context of the conference that today she officially became “candidate chancellor” ahead of her elections February 23rd. Mrs. Weidel did not fail to thank businessman Elon Musk again in her speech for his support of her party.

AfD’s goal is to assume government responsibility after the elections, said party co-chairman Tino Hroupala and Ms. Weidel outlined the policies of the first 100 days: planned large-scale repatriations of immigrants, “tear down all the wind turbines,” restarting nuclear plants and Nord Stream 2, extending the operation of coal-fired power plants, canceling all studies on the sex. “We will close all these studies and throw out all the professors,” said Alice Weidel, and argued that universities in Germany are turning into “queer-woke educational institutions” of culture.

The AfD conference in Rize, Saxony, started two hours late as more than 12,000 protesters tried to prevent delegates from reaching the venue. According to the AfD, protesters also stopped the car in which Alice Weidel was riding, while the police announced that two policemen were slightly injured. Today and tomorrow more than 3,000 policemen are guarding the conference.
