A few weeks after the court’s first-instance decision on Mazan’s rapists, her daughter Giselle PelicoCarolyn Darian breaks her silence and reveals unknown aspects of the dark case that rocked her France and caused worldwide interest.

“I don’t really remember the father I thought I had. Now I see the criminal, the one who has committed sex crimes, for what he really is.”

“I was so close to my father. You can’t imagine how painful it was. He was always sexually perverted. You can’t wake up in the morning and say I’m going to drug my wife or rape her. He must die in prison. He is a dangerous man.

Shocking and her personal confession that she herself is sure that she was a victim of rape by her father. As she describes, she has recognized herself in two photographs depicting a drugged and half-naked woman, but she does not have sufficient evidence, like many other victims of Mazan’s ring, to prove it.

Dominic Pelico has also denied the charge. “I’m sure he raped me. The only difference from my mother’s case is that I have no evidence to prove it, like her.”

Peliko’s daughter’s confession comes as a shocking addition to the story of Giselle’s mother, who with her courage to reveal what she suffered from her husband who for more than 10 years drugged her and recruited men over the Internet to rape her, managed to uncover one of the darkest sexual abuse cases in France and land him in prison along with 50 other men involved in case.

Another 20 perpetrators are still at large, as the police have not yet been able to identify them, while the convicted have said they will appeal.
