The Russian Security Service (FSB) today announced that it has arrested four female Ukrainian specialist agents, accusing them of preparing attacks on Russia against high -ranking officers and energy facilities.
“FSB put an end to the activities of four female agents, who had been recruited by Ukrainian special services,” according to a statement issued by the Russian Service, stating that arrests were made in Sevastopol, in the attached Crimea, in Voronez (Western Russia). and in Rostov on Don (southern Russia).
The four “were all trained on Ukrainian territory to handle firearms, mines and explosives, as well as drones” with the aim of “taking actions of sabotage and terrorism against senior Russian Ministry of Defense and Energy Agencies”.
During investigations at their home, “large number of explosives” were seized, components for improvised mechanisms and “means of communication with their Ukrainian supervisors”, according to the same source.
These women, who have “confessed”, may be imposed up to 30 years in prison, added to the announcement.
Officials in Russia, which is conducting a 2022 attack on February 2022 Ukraineattacks have been made in the last three years.
