The proposed plan updates the European Union’s Integrated Framework (EU) to manage cyber -registration and maps EU bodies
The European Commission has today submitted a proposal to ensure efficient and efficient confrontation of large -scale cybercrime. The proposed plan updates the integrated European Union (EU) framework for managing cybercrime and maps the relevant EU bodies, describing their roles throughout the crisis life cycle. It includes the preparedness and common awareness of the situation to predict cybercrime, as well as the necessary detection skills to detect them, including the treatment and rehabilitation tools needed to mitigate, prevent and limit these incidents.
Hena Virkunn, executive vice -president of technological sovereignty, security and democracy, said: “In an increasingly interdependent economy of the Union, cybercrime disorders can have extensive impact on various areas. The proposed cyber security strategy plan reflects our commitment to ensure a concerted approach, utilizing existing structures with the aim of protecting the internal market and maintaining vital social functions. This recommendation is a crucial step forward to strengthen our collective cyber -release. ”
The proposed plan is based on existing contexts, such as integrated crisis treatment and EU toolbox for cyberspace, while also aligning recently with recently adopted initiatives, such as the Strategy for Vital Importance Infrastructure and the Code of Network for the Network cyber security in the EU electricity sector. It proposes measures to strengthen cooperation between non -military and military entities, including NATO, while reflecting the goals of the forthcoming EU readiness strategy. In addition, today’s proposal promotes safe communication and strategic efforts to tackle misinformation.
It also concludes the joint announcement of the Commission and the High Representative / Vice -President to enhance the security and durability of the underwater cables, presented by Executive Vice President Virkunne in Helsinki on 21 February.
