The memorandum instructs the Secretaries of each sector to identify members of the gender discomfort within 30 days and to “start removal actions” within 30 days after that.

If they voluntarily resign, they will be entitled to be paid twice as much as part of voluntary separation allowance, he said.

The note also states that the army will no longer pay for treatments or surgeries related to gender discomfort of the members of the Service.

Even if a transgender member of the service receives exemption to remain in the army, he will face restrictions. They will not be able to access “familiar spaces”, including changing rooms, baths and shower, intended for gender members in which they went.
