At least 25 people lost their lives yesterday Monday In two traffic accidents in which buses were involved in Mexican states Oaxaca (south) and Duran (north).
At least 14 people were killed when a bus crashed from the US and a truck, Civil Protection in the state of Durango said. Only 10 of the 24 passengers came out alive from the conflict, authorities said.
The bus had departed from Maccalen at the border of Texas with Mexicowhere many Mexicans work. The vehicle caught fire, show videos uploaded to social networking sites.
The causes of the accident are still unclear.
Earlier, authorities in Oaxaca announced that 11 people were killed when bus got off the road and fell on a cliff. Another 12 occupants were injured, two of whom are in critical condition.
Local authorities “They are conducting the necessary investigations to ascertain the causes of the accident,” they assured.
The accident was marked near the community Santo Domingo Naroin the central and southern part of the state, visited by many tourists.
