The IDFs released videos and photos from the administration center depicting the three men discussing as the blows were marked.

Zamir has taken only a few weeks, having replaced former IDF leader Hertzi Halevi on March 6th.

The office of Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu argued that the blows were response to Hamas’ refusal to release hostages still held in Gaza.

“Israel will act from now on against Hamas with increasing military power”, The prime minister’s office said in a statement.

Kats: “Gates of Hell”

“Tonight, we continued the battles in Gaza for Hamas’ refusal to release hostages and threats against Israeli army and Israeli community soldiers,” The Minister of Defense Israel Kats said in a statement.

He then threatened that if Hamas does not release more hostages, IDFs would attack “wilder” than before and open “The Gates of Hell in Gaza”.
