Nearly 90 are the injured by the missile blow to the town of Sumi in northeast Ukraine, President Volodimir Zelenski said tonight, while Russian and US officials are discussing a possible ceasefire in Riyadh.
“There are many injured. So far, we count about 90, of which 17 are children »said Zelenski in his daily profession.
Earlier, the local prosecutor’s office said Russian forces hit a densely populated Sumi zone, resulting in damage to apartment buildings and an educational institution.
“Fortunately, school children were in the refuge”said Zelenski.
Photos released by the prosecution show dense black smoke rising from a damaged building, broken glasses and dismantled woods, scattered on the street.
“Moscow talks about peace while launching violent blows to densely populated zones of the big Ukrainian cities”commented on Ukrainian diplomacy chief Adriy Simbicha.
