“The conflict between the government and the press is a period conflict,” he said as he refers to what happens at Los Angeles Times and Washington Post, whose owners prevented the editorial team from taking sides on behalf of the newspaper.

“When the other three powers (the executive, the legislature and the judiciary) fail with us, the press must succeed. Governments do not like freedom of the press,” he said. “And that is worth if you are conservative or liberal or any side they are. They don’t like the press,” said the actor.

For Trump, the interview was “totally exaggerated”. “Why the now highly discredited 60 minutes would be doing a ‘misleading propaganda’ about George Clooney, a ‘star’ star and failed political commentator?”, Started on the social network.

“And now George Clooney again? Your press agent should be gaining a fortune,” concluded the US president.
