The French Foreign Minister Jean-Noel Baro Today he announced the postponement of the scheduled meeting of Iran, Britain, France and Germany (known as E3) on the Iranian nuclear issue, as Tehran had previously proposed earlier this week.

“A technical meeting was scheduled before the (…) high -level meeting between the US and Iran. Since the latter will not take place, the technical meeting is now unnecessary, at least for this time, “the French Foreign Minister told the French Agency, referring to the postponement of the meeting between Americans and Iranians scheduled to take place in Rome on Saturday.

Washington and Tehran have been in talks in the last month with the aim of reaching an agreement to limit Iran’s nuclear program in exchange for lifting financial sanctions.

A fourth round of talks, which was due to take place in Rome on Saturday, will be transferred to a new date, Oman announced today, which broke out in previous rounds of US-Iran talks.

France, Britain and Germany are the three European countries that signed in 2015 with China, Russia, the US and the EU the international agreement on the control of the Iranian nuclear program. In 2018, Donald Trump withdrew the US from this deal.
