Speaking Hebrew with Russian accent, the man self -sustained as “prisoner number 24” and hinted at being injured in Israeli bombing
Another video showing an injured Israeli hostage held in the Gaza Strip today released Hamas’s armed wing.
The video lasts more than four minutes and looks a man lying down, with his head and left hand covered with bandages with brown spots.
The French agency was not able to verify the authenticity of the video.
Speaking Hebrew with Russian accent, the man self -adopted as “prisoner number 24“And it was implied that he had been injured in Israeli bombing.
It also refers to the fact that Israel will soon celebrate the anniversary of its independence, implying that the video was filmed shortly before May 1st, the day the Jewish state celebrated the 77th anniversary of its founding on May 15, 1948, according to the Jewish calendar.
After a two -month truce with Hamas in the Gaza Strip and weeks of fruitless negotiations on how to extend it, Israel reiterated air bombings and land companies in the Palestinian enclave on March 18, with the Prime Minister’s government to the hostages that still hold.
Since the end of the truce, Hamas has posted many hostage videos.
All this comes as the indirect negotiations between Hamas and Israel, with the mediation of Qatar and Egypt, to release hostages and cease fire in Gaza are in a deadlock.
