Pakistan Prime Minister Shehbaz Sarif has received a phone call from US Secretary of State Marco Rubio today.

The leader of US diplomacy noted that the United States is closely monitoring the situation in South Asia as they are committed to promoting peace and stability in the region.

Rubio emphasized the need for the two countries, Pakistan and India, to work closely to decline the situation, Pakistan’s prime ministerial office announced.

During this telephone conversation, Prime Minister Sharif confirmed Pakistan’s determination to defend “sovereignty and territorial integrity at all costs”.

At the same time, the Pakistani Vice -President said the country remains determined to protect civilians and tranquility in the region.

He also said that several unmanned aircraft of the Indian Army violated Pakistan’s airspace crossing the international border in many areas, and that Pakistani Armed Forces faced 75-80 Indian fighter aircraft and fired five aircraft.

A spokesman for the Pakistani Army said 29 Indian unmanned aircraft were shot down.
