A 21 -year -old man is accused of three arson -intentional arson -intentional arson in incidents linked to British Prime Minister Kir Starmer, according to a statement by the London Metropolitan Police.

Roman Lavrinovs, a Ukrainian national, was arrested on Tuesday morning at a residence in Sidenam, southeast London, and will be presented Friday at Westminster Court.

The charges concern three incidents within four days – a fire in a vehicle in Centis Town, in north London, a fire in the Prime Minister’s private home on the same road and a fire in a address where he previously resided in northwestern London.

In the early hours of Monday, May 12th, emergency services responded to a fire at home in Centis Town where Kir Starmer was staying before he became prime minister and moved to Downing Street 10.

It is known that the property has been rented.

Police are continuing the investigation, and so far no information has been given whether the motive was political.

The fire caused damage to the entrance of the property, but no one was injured.

A car connected to Kir had targeted arson four days earlier, on Thursday, May 8, on the same road.

In the early hours of Sunday, May 11th, firefighters were called upon to face a small fire at the front door of a house that had become an apartments in nearby Islington, where the British prime minister stayed there in the 1990s.
