Commission President Ursula von der Leyen announces tougher sanctions against Russia over its invasion of Ukraine in the second half of the month via a twitter post.
“Last night President Zelensky described the courage of the Ukrainians who bravely resist. They have the whole EU behind them. “We will strengthen our support for Ukraine, increase our sanctions and free ourselves from Russian fossil fuels,” he wrote.
