Ukraine: Rocket hits Lviv – Reports of blow to oil facilities

A rocket recently hit the celestial city of Lviv, most likely an oil facility, according to an eyewitness.

According to the first information, dense black smoke rises from the point of impact.

According to Stavros Ioannidis, SKAI’s envoy to Ukraine, three explosions were heard and the area was covered with a lot of smoke.

Flames have erupted at the scene and ambulances are rushing.

Authorities in the Lviv region of western Ukraine said today that they heard three loud explosions near the capital of the region and called on residents to go to shelters.

“There were three powerful explosions near Lviv in the direction of Krivkici, now there is an air raid warning, so stay calm and go to the shelters,” the governor of the region, Maxim Kozicki, wrote in an internet post, referring to an area in city.

Eyewitnesses told Reuters they saw thick black smoke rising from the northeastern side of the city. Its origin, however, could not be independently confirmed.

Earlier, a Sky News crew came under fire from Russian artillery while trying to cross a bridge in the city of Chernihiv used by civilians, doctors and rescuers.

The blow was recorded by the camera of the television collaborator with the journalist and her team trying to cover themselves.
