A fire that broke out on a gas and oil exploration platform, a short distance from the Angola coast, claimed the lives of three workers, authorities said yesterday.
The disaster unfolded on May 20th in this exploration platform in high -depth waters, belonging to the consortium Cabgocsubsidiary of American oil colossus Chevron.
The fire injured 27 people. Two of them succumbed to their wounds in South Africa, where they were rushed to offer specialized medical care by burnish, the National Oil and Gas Service explained to Lure.
The third worker’s corpse was found near the platform, which is located some 96 kilometers from the coast, the same source added.
An investigation is being carried out to determine the causes of the tragedy.
