Cruise missile attack in Lviv – Espionage suspect arrested

An “espionage suspect” man has been arrested in Lviv, where one of the six rocket attacks.

District Governor Maksym Kozytskyy said police discovered the man had fired a missile aimed at the target.

Police also found photos of checkpoints in the area on his phone.

Mr Kozytskyy added that the photos had been sent to two Russian telephone numbers.

It is noted that yesterday afternoon six rockets hit oil facilities in Lviv causing great fire, while the sky was covered with dense black smoke.

In fact, a relevant video was published today by the news agency Nexta, noting that all night the firefighters were fighting to extinguish the fire caused by the rocket attacks on one of the industrial fuel storage companies.

The city of Lviv, in western Ukraine, was the target of two Russian bombings yesterday afternoon, injuring at least five people, regional governor Maxim Kozicki told the Telegram.

“There were two rocket attacks inside the city of Lviv,” Kozicki said in an online post.

The bomber struck shortly after noon in front of a rally in the eastern part of the city, Litsakivsky, without any reports of injuries or severe damage.

“The information according to which a building or other infrastructure was damaged has not been confirmed,” the governor added.

Attack with cruise missiles

Russia, meanwhile, announced today that it had hit a factory used to repair anti-aircraft systems, radar stations and tank snipers with high-precision cruise missiles.

“The armed forces of the Russian Federation are continuing their offensive operations as part of the special military operation,” the ministry said in a statement.

He added that Russia had used long-range sea-based missiles to destroy an S-300 missile arsenal and BUK anti-aircraft missile systems near Kyiv.

Russian forces also destroyed a number of drones, he said.

A resident of the neighborhood told Agence France-Presse that there was a fuel depot nearby.
