Two police officers and one citizen were killed today in southwestern Colombia, where there was a series of explosions and coordinated armed attacks, police said.
A total of sixteen armed attacks occurred, while at the same time trapped cars exploded and unmanned aircraft targeted police and municipal buildings in Kali and in neighboring municipalities, Police Chief Ferna Ferna Ferna Ferna.
In Kauka and Valle provinces, the army clashes with groups separated from the Revolutionary Armed Forces of Colombia (FARC) which signed a peace agreement in 2016.
According to the Triana, the guerrillas were “celebrating” the anniversary of death in 2022, a commander of their nickname “Magibo”.
Many explosions occurred in Valle Del Kauka, in the capital of which, Kali, was killed by a police officer. Explosions also referred to Hamudi, Cordo and Bouenavendoura, Colombia’s largest port in the Pacific.
Another explosion took place in El Bordo, located in the neighboring province of Kauka.
In Cordoo, a French agency photojournalist saw debris on the street and damage to buildings after the explosion of a trapped car.
In these two provinces, as well as in Amazon, the guerrillas of the Central Staff (EMC), led by Ivan Mordisko, are under their control of large areas of coca crops. There have been rumors of Ivan Mordisko’s health for many weeks, who is said to have been injured in an army operation and may be arrested. Coordinated attacks are likely to be linked to these rumors.
President Gustavo Petros, who began peace talks with all the guerrilla organizations and cartels acting in the country, parallels Ivan Mordiskos with cocaine baron Pablo Escobar (1949-1993). The dialogue that began with his organization was interrupted in 2024 after Mordisko left the negotiations.
These attacks took place three days after the assassination attempt in Bogota by Senator Miguel Uribe, 39, claiming the country’s presidency. Uribe received two bullets on his head and was in serious condition.
