Turkey is taking all necessary measures in accordance with the potential scenarios concerning the country after Israel’s air raids against Iran, Turkish Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan said after an emergency security meeting held with top government officials.

According to the head of Turkish diplomacy, “the promotion of the process launched by US President Trump on negotiations on nuclear (Iran’s) is the only way to resolve the conflict.”

He also argued that the growing tension in the area “should not distract from genocide to Gaza”.

The meeting was attended by Turkish Defense Minister Yasar Giuller, Chief of Staff, General Metin Giurak, and Intelligence Service leader MIT, Ibrahim Kalin.

Turkish Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan said in detail after the meeting:

“Our president is closely monitoring developments from the first moment and has been informed. According to the instructions of our President, our competent bodies take all necessary measures in accordance with the possible scenarios concerning our country.

From the beginning of the developments, we have been in close contact with many countries such as Iran, Iraq, Jordan and the US.

Israel, which caused a humanitarian tragedy in Gaza, destabilized Lebanon, invaded Syria and now targets Iran, should immediately abandon its strategy aimed at destabilizing the region.
