US President Donald Trump allegedly told Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu that Washington will consider hitting Fordo’s underground nuclear facility in Iran, if it is necessary to prevent the acquisition of Nuclear Channel 12.
According to Israeli officials cited by Ravid, Trump has made this post in telephone conversations with Netanyahu in recent weeks. As noted, Fordo’s underground installation may not be able to be affected by Israeli forces without American help.
However, the White House officially denied that he was investigating an attack on Iran, stating that “it is not the right time at this time” for such a blow.
The issue is expected to be crucial in the coming days, as Israel continues its operation against Iranian military and nuclear targets. If Fordo is rescued from Israeli blows, it is estimated that Tehran could carry the rest of her nuclear program there, accelerating her course to acquiring a nuclear bomb, Ravid said.
