Hurricane Eric, crossing the Pacific Ocean, was reinforced in category 4 on the five-scale Safir-Simson as it approaches the Mexican coast.

Eric, now a very strong hurricane, is accompanied by “potentially destructive winds” and can cause “probably deadly floods in some areas of South Mexico”, according to the US Center for Early Warnings for Hurricanes and Cyclones (NHC).

At 03:00 (Greek time), its position was located about 90 kilometers from Puerto Angel (south), according to the NHC.

Eric threatens to become one of the most powerful Pacific hurricanes in the history of Mexico, who will hit the land.
