US President Donald Trump and his Ukrainian counterpart, Volodimir Zelenski, are expected to have communication within the day (Friday) to discuss the suspension of supplies of US weapons to Ukraineaccording to the Financial Times.
The Ukrainian president is expected to raise Trump and the issue of future US weapons market. The time of telephone communication could be changed, the newspaper explains.
It is noted that US authorities seem to have been interrupted all missions US weapons to Ukraine, including shells and spare parts, revealed by the Economist, citing Ukrainian officials.
The decision allegedly made by Washington is at a critical time for Kiev, with Moscow awaiting significant aid from Pyongyang.
The US, on the other hand, refuses to exert any pressure on Ukraine, and that they have completely interrupted arms supplies. According to Pentagon’s chief spokesman Sean Parnell, traditions continue, though he did not give details. The Pentagon said the suspension of weapons supplies was aimed at maintaining US “military readiness and defense priorities”.
