A team of inspectors of the International Atomic Energy Organization (IAEA) departed safely from Iran to return to the UN headquarters in Vienna after remained in Tehran during the war between Israel and Iran, the IAEA said today.

The Director General of the Organization, Rafael Grossi, “reiterated the critical importance of the IAAE debate with Iran on the details of the reopening of the necessary monitoring and verification activities in Iran as soon as possible,” he said in a post.

By law ratified earlier this week, Tehran officially suspended its cooperation with the IAEA.

The law stipulates that any future Iranian nuclear installations inspection by the IAEA requires the approval of the Tehran National Security Council.

Following the 12 -day war between Israel and Iran, Tehran threatened to cut off cooperation with the IAAE accusing him of being in favor of Western countries and justifying Israeli air raids, which began a day after the Board of Directors of nuclear weapons.
