Actor’s 56 -year -old’s life passed Julian MacMaonone of the two protagonists of the television series “NIP/Tuck”. His death was confirmed by a statement on the official “NIP/Tuck” page on Facebook and with an additional statement by his wife, Kelly McMaon.
“My beloved husband, Julian McMaon, has left calmly this week after a brave attempt to beat cancer. Julian loved life. He loved his family. He loved his friends. He loved his job and loved his fans. His deepest desire was to bring joy to as many lives as possible. We are seeking support at this time so that our family can mourn privately. And we wish all those who Julian brought joy to continue to find joy in life. We are grateful for the memories ».
MacMaon’s career in acting began in 1989, with a role in the short -term Australian soap opera “The Power, The Passion”. His participation in the series “Home and Away” followed. He made his debut in the United States in another soap opera, NBC’s “Another World” in 1993. He then had roles as a key character in the “Profiler” series (in NBC, as John Grant) and “Charmed” (in WB, as Cole Turner).

In 2003 he starred next to Dylan Wells, in Ryan Murphy’s “Nip/Tuck”, aired for six seasons at the FX and ended in 2010. For his interpretation as Dr. Christian Troy won a Golden Globe nomination. His last role came earlier this year, in the Netflix series, “The Residence”, where he played Steven Rous, Prime Minister of Australia, a role that his father actually had, Billy McMaon, from 1971 to 1972.
