The North Korean leader Kim Jong Un assured the head of Russian diplomacy for his “unconditional” support at Russia to the ongoing war against UkraineExpressing his “strong belief” that the victory of the Moscow forces is “sure”, Pyongyang reported today.

According to the state -run KCNA news agency, Mr Kim welcomed Mr Lavrov to a “atmosphere of warm companionship” as the two states tighten their diplomatic and military relations. Mr Lavrov also said that Mr Putin hopes that there would be a “continuation of direct contacts” with Mr Kim “as soon as possible”, according to the Russian news agency TASS.

The Kremlin was asked this week about the possible visit of the North Korean leader to Moscow and replied that this is not foreseen at the moment.
