Ukraine will allow foreign companies to test their latest weapons at the forefront of the war, Brave1’s state -owned investment and weapon supply group said Thursday.
As part of the “Test on Ukraine” program, companies will send their products to Ukraine, provide some online training on how to use them, and then wait for the Ukrainian forces to test them and send reports, the group said in a statement.
“It gives us understanding what technologies are available. It gives companies understanding what really works at the forefront, “Artem Moroz, head of Brave1’s investment relations, told Reuters at a conference on defense in Wisbaden, Germany.
Moroz said there was a strong interest in the system, but did not name any company he had signed to use it and refused to do more details on how to operate or cost.
Ukraine is betting on a budding defense industry, which is partially powered by foreign investment to repel Russia’s largest and best -equipped war machine.
Brave1 – founded by the government in 2023, is an online hub where Ukrainian defense companies can seek investment, but also where Ukrainian military units can order weapons – had drawn up a list of military technologies he wanted to try.
“We have a list of priorities. One of the leading of these would be air defense, such as unmanned aircraft and artificial intelligence systems, “he said.
Unmanned water systems and electronic profile systems in the ground are also on Ukraine’s priorities list, as well as advanced fire control systems.
