About 100 hoodlums, armed with crackers and other objects, attacked vehicles in Limoz, Central France, during clashes at night with class forces, injuring nine police officers.
According to local authorities, the incidents began at 1am, on Friday night to Saturday, from a popular Limoges neighborhood that “one hundred people” excluded the highway and attacked the passing cars, “mainly with crackers”.
On aurait pu penser cette scène de guerre venir du moyen orient ou d’ukraine, mais non.

“There were 100-150 people with masks, armed with Molotov cocktails, crackers, stones, blacksmiths, baseball sticks,” said Loran Nado, the secretary of the Alliance local police union.
Officers responded with plastic bullets and tear gas and the clashes ended around 4am.
“In some cars, there were families, there were young children inside,” said the prosecutor’s office, which filed eight lawsuits. “None of the drivers were injured, but many were terrified,” he added.
“This is a guerrilla city,” said Limoge Mayor Emil Rose Loberty. “This has happened for 4-5 years in this district. To me, it is dangerous, “he added, describing a” very poor neighborhood, with new immigrants “that has evolved into a” lawlessness zone “.
Eight of nine injured police officers have tinnitus and ninth has a hand trauma, the Limoges prosecutor’s office said. Prosecutor Emili Abrants said the district is “known” to the authorities for drug trafficking, but “no evidence links the events of yesterday night with a recent trafficking study”.
On July 14, on the day of the national feast of France, there had been riots again in the same zone.
The interior ministry has announced that a special police force will be developed in the city to maintain order.
