Turkish state television’s delusion about the 25 parade in Samos on March 25, which even covered an earlier statement by Turkish Foreign Minister Mevlüt Çavuşoλουlu that their Greek sovereignty was being challenged on the occasion of the “militarization of the islands”.
According to Manolis Kostidis, TRT Haber claimed that “another step of Athens that provokes a reaction. Greek commandos held a parade in Samos, which according to the Treaty of Lausanne, should be demilitarized. The images were shared on social networks. There should be no soldiers or weapons in Samos and this provoked a reaction. “Ankara expresses at every opportunity its opposition to actions that violate international law and calls on Greece to abide by the agreements.”
“Greece violates these conditions, and if Greece does not retreat then the sovereignty of these islands is questioned because it violates the terms. “The balance that had been reached in the Aegean with the international conditions has changed due to the ‘maximalist policies’ of Greece,” Tsavousoglou said in his earlier provocative statement.
It is noted that the Turkish Foreign Minister also made a provocative intervention for the Muslim minority of Thracewhich was not left unanswered by Athens.
