The Israeli political leadership has approved the final operational plans to complete the Gaza Strip. At the end of yesterday’s meeting, Benjamin Netanyahu in a video message said that in addition to the army’s preparations, contacts would continue to reach a “final agreement” based on the truce plan that Hamas has already accepted. He added that the Israeli negotiating team would move to achieve the liberation of all hostages, living and dead, in one dose, and not in part, with the end of the end of the war “on the conditions that Israel will set”, as he characteristically pointed out.

Is not in a hurry to answer

On the other hand, Israel does not seem to be in a hurry to give its final response to the new ceasefire plan based on last May’s “Witkov framework” and revised by slight changes following Egyptian and Qatar’s backdrops. Indeed, it is noteworthy that a government official, answering today to a question from the state radio, has avoided specifying exactly when the final response to the plan would be given and when the Israeli negotiators will begin their contacts again.

Finally, it was announced this morning that the final approval of the business plans will be decided by the limited composition Council of Ministers, responsible for security and defense (KYSEA) next Tuesday, August 26th.
