The strong reaction of the Labor Party MPs has triggered the scheduled journey of Israeli President Isaak Hertzog in London next week, with many of them asking Prime Minister Kir Starmer not to meet with the Israeli delegation.

The Israeli president is expected to be in the British capital next Wednesday and Thursday, a few weeks before the United Kingdom government proceeded, as it has reported, to the recognition of Palestinian state at the United Nations General Assembly.

It is noted that it will be the first visit of a senior Israeli official to Britain following the meeting held by Foreign Minister David Lamy with his Israeli counterpart, Gideon Saar, on a surprise visit in the spring.

Usually a high -ranking foreign official is reasonable to have meetings with high -ranking government ministers in the country he is visiting, but in this case a meeting of Herzog with Kir Starmer would provoke even more intense reactions from the workers, as they have criticized him.

Downing Street, for her part, has not confirmed by any meeting of Hertzog with the British prime minister, while Labor MPs have already called on the government to avoid meeting with the Israeli president, saying that any talks would send him to the United States.
