Turkey has no ambition for anyone’s rights or sovereignty, but it is determined to use its share of resources in the Mediterranean and to work with its neighbors based on the Kazan-Kazan Authority, the Turkish President said. Recep Tayyip Erdoganchatting with journalists on the return flight to Ankara after meeting with the US president Donald Trump in Washington.
According to Constantinople’s Manolis KostidisAsked by a journalist how Greece and Israel will improving Ankara’s relations with Cairo and whether a maritime jurisdiction agreement similar to that between Turkey and Libya could be reached, Erdogan replied:
“Peace achieved between the two warring parts in Libya, with Turkey’s mediation, is a source of hope not only for the Libyan people but also for the whole region.
The good relations we have created with Egypt and the joint exercise of our naval forces in the Mediterranean after 13 years of cessation are tangible indicators of Turkey’s role in regional peace and security.
Turkey and Egypt are two major countries in our region. Progress in our relationships in recent years has been historical. We are working to expand these areas of cooperation.
Turkey has no ambition for the rights or sovereignty of anyone. However, she is also determined to protect her own rights and interests. Our approach to resources in the Mediterranean is clear. We will take advantage of our share of these resources and work with our neighbors based on the Kazan-Kazan Authority (“Win-Win”).
Turkey’s decisive stance is causing account rearrangements in the region. Turkey now has a voice on the table, a decision -making force
and guidance.
In terms of construction of our aircraft carrierthe responsibility and accountability on this issue are primarily bored by the commander of our naval forces, and the Minister of National Defense, Yasar Guler, is watching the work particularly closely. Saying “will be completed so far” would be a bit of an exaggeration. But we hope we will finish our ship in one or two years. “
‘We’re leaving satisfied – not all solved in a meeting’
Regarding the results of his visit to the US, the Turkish president noted that he was leaving Washington and added that “resolving any issues at a single meeting is, of course, impossible. However, this contact has led to substantial progress on many issues. “
In detail, he stated: “We were warmly welcomed by Mr. Trump and his delegation to the White House. We leave Washington satisfied. It was a wonderful visit that could not be tarnished by the ‘mud’. We held our meetings with the President in a friendly, constructive and productive atmosphere. Our relationship with Mr Trump was very good from the past, as is well known.
»We had a separate dialogue during his first term, and that continues. I believe this will have a positive impact on Turkish-American relations. We have always been used, and we continue to use clear, clear language and principles based on when talking to our friends. Mr Trump is a politician who enjoys talking openly and expresses his views without hesitation. We promote our relations with the United States based on mutual respect.
»Solving each issue in a single meeting is, of course, impossible. However, this contact has led to substantial progress on many issues. Both the volume of trade and the capabilities of our two countries are evident. We have a bilateral Commercial target of $ 100 billion. As leaders, we have the political will to implement it. At our meeting, we discussed trade and investment, as well as the humanitarian disaster in Gaza and the Syrian issue. I also support Mr Trump’s vision for world peace.
»There is an agreement on both sides on the end of bloodshed. Hopefully we will soon come up with an opening for this issue. At dinner, we had the opportunity to discuss all these issues from all angles. Both I and my fellow ministers have discussed these issues. “
