Iran today condemned the reinstatement of the United Nations sanctions against it, ten years after their removal, in the midst of disagreements with the Western countries over its nuclear program.
Heavy sanctions, including embargo to financial measuresthey came into force again at 3 in the morning of Greece after the failure of the Negotian Nuclear Program. However, Europeans and Americans then stressed that this does not signal the end of diplomacy.
The Iranian nuclear program has long been poisoning Iran’s relations with Western countries which, along with Israel, his sworn enemy, suspects Tehran wants to build an atomic bomb. Iran strongly denies that he is pursuing this and insists on his right to nuclear energy for peaceful purposes.
“The Islamic Republic of Iran will decisively defend its rights and national interests and any action aimed at undermining the interests and rights of its people will be addressed with the appropriate answer.”The Foreign Ministry said in a statement.
At the same time, he denounced the “unjustified” restoration of the “illegal” United Nations and called on countries not to implement them.
