Ukrainian forces are recapturing significant territory in the north after Russian forces retreat, the UK Foreign Office said on Tuesday.
According to the British Ministry, the Ukrainian forces denied Russia the possibility of securing its targets and forced the Russian troops to withdraw from the areas around Chernihiv and north of Kiev.
The latest report The British intelligence service says fighting is likely to continue in some of the recently recaptured areas, but will decline significantly later this week as the rest of the Russian forces withdraw.
“Many Russian units withdrawing from northern Ukraine are likely to need significant re-equipment and re-equipment before they are available for redeployment for operations in eastern Ukraine.”
