Hamas proceeded in the liberation of the first 7 hostages, out of the 20s who will return to their homes today, under the Israeli truce and exchange agreement.

Shortly before the exchange, Hamas fighters gave Homer Matan Zangauker, Ariel and David Kounio, and Nimrod Cohen their phones to make video calls for their families.

At a moving moment, Homer Matan Zangauker was able to talk to his mother and his girlfriend for the first time since his abduction on October 7, 2023.

“Hi mom, I’m free,” he sounds difficult to say about 25 -year -old Matan.

“You’re back home – you all come home,” his mother replies with enthusiasm, difficulty holding her tears. “There is no more war!” It sounds to say.

For her part, Silvia Cohen, mother of Gemini Ariel and David, said she initially did not respond to the call because she did not recognize the phone number.

“I didn’t hear anything, but I saw them and it was enough to feel very happy with happiness … They seem to me fine, I thought it would be worse,” he said.
