Egyptian President Abdel Fatah al -Sisi said today at the Peace Summit in Gaza hosted at the Sharm El Sheikh resort that the solution of the two states is the only way to establish peace in the Middle East.
The Egyptian president said the Palestinians have the right to live in an independent state, side by side with the Israelis.
Sisi also announced that Egypt would also host a meeting for rebuilding Gaza.
Sisi said the Gaza Agreement would close a “painful capital in human history”.
President al-Sisi has announced that he would award Donald Trump the Nile medal, the highest honor of Egypt.
At the same time, the President of Egypt said that Donald Trump’s peace plan for the Middle East is the “last chance” for peace in the region.
It is noted that the Trump plan leaves open the possibility of the creation of a Palestinian state, but only after a long transitional period in Gaza and a reform process by the internationally recognized Palestinian authority.
Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu opposes the possibility of creating an independent Palestinian state.
