Before drawing the Stoiximan Basket League championship for the 2025-2026 season, OEM Olympic sent a letter to ESAKE, through its General Manager Nikos Lepeniotissubmitting proposals for planning the regular season races with a special emphasis on derby with Panathinaic.
In the letter, Olympiacos asks Stable days and hours for their home matches of all teamsTo enhance the relationship with the fans, to serve the television coverage and to enhance the championship’s commercial dynamics. Especially for the Panathinaikos derby, the Olympic Games suggested:
– Do not take place in October, due to a burdensome program in Euroleague and the European Championship.

The goal, according to the letter, is to carry out the derby in ideal conditions, with maximum projection and racing readiness, to be top events for Greek basketball, both inside and outside the borders.
The proposal was not acceptedas revealed by the Athletic Director of Olympiakos, Christos Vaffa, after the victory over Panathinaikos yesterday (12/10).
