The Saratov oil refinery in the region of the same name in the Russian Federation, announced that the Defense Forces of Ukraine struck at night, as part of the Ukrainian military effort to “dry” Moscow of oil.
Ukrainian drones took part in the operation. As Kiev announced, the oil refinery is one of the oldest in Russia. From 2023, the oil processing volume it was 4.8 million tons.

Fuel shortages and interruptions in the supply of gasoline have long been reported in more than 10 regions across Russia, the Izvestia newspaper reported, citing a union of fuel producers. Sergei Aksyonov, the head of Crimea, admitted in a recent video message that there was a problem, but had assured drivers that gas stations would be fully stocked with all types of fuel within two weeks.
