The ice broke between Donald Trump and Elon Musk, with the American president revealing that they have communication and their relations are “good”, after their joint public appearance at Charlie Kirk’s funeral.

“I’ve always liked Elon,” Trump told Politico from Air Force One. “He went through a difficult period. He had a bad time. But I like Elon and I think I always will.” noted.

This is the first time Trump has spoken about old friend Musk since their fallout over the summer, which was accompanied by personal insults and political threats.

Tesla’s billionaire CEO said he might support candidates where will oppose the Republicans while he also left open the possibility of founding a political party called “America Party”. Trump then threatened Musk that he would have “very serious consequences” if he proceeded with such moves.

Their friendship, as Politico reports, may have significant political and economic implications in view of the elections of 2026 and 2028. As the owner of X, Musk remains one of the most influential voices in conservative media, and can influence elections with his generous donations.
