Shocking video of a shocking chase in Los Angeles has emerged, with a car driven by an off-duty police officer knocking down a motorcyclist who had killed a colleague earlier.
The crash occurred while the bike was traveling at up to 270km/h and the rider had left the steering wheel out of his hands to fix a rucksack he had with him.
The result of the collision was that the driver of the machine was thrown from the machine and landed on his back narrowly escaping the machine landing on his head.

As it later became known, the car that hit the engine was driven by an off-duty Narcotics Enforcement officer who – according to the local police – was conducting a “legitimate operation”.
The pursuit took place on Monday and began after authorities were notified of a man threatening a woman with a gun. When officers arrived at the scene, the gunman opened fire, fatally wounding Sheriff’s Deputy Andrew Nunez, who was shot in the head.
According to police, Nunez served six years on the force and is survived by his wife, who was pregnant with their second child, and a 2-year-old daughter.
